If you look at the reviews, you will quickly see this is by far the best dual band DMR portable radio available for less than $4,000. The version we sell includes GPS, programming cable and a 3100 mAh lithium battery. Some of our competitor might sell you the radio with the standard smaller 2100 mAh battery, no GPS, and charge you for the programming cable. The only question you have to ask is if you should get it from us or one of our competitors.

I LOVE this radio! Despite a slew of DMR handhelds (5-MOTs, Hytera X1p, TYT2017, the AT-D868UV tops them all. Two band DMR with none of the hassles of the TYT2017. Plus, updates to firmware and CPS have been frequent and on target. I've only had it for two weeks and three updates. More time necessary, but so far, so good!
I have nothing but great reports using this radio. Superb audio quality both in TX and RX. Codeplug is easy to use and firmware updates simple as well.
Owning less than week. Radio programmed & very simple updating firmware. Display laid out extremely well. Best budget dual band DMR radio to date. FPP easy edit channel's during events. However, most would want use Software. Changing zones done with simple up down button. Many programmable buttons available. Menu very well laid out. Battery 3100mah lasts 2-3 days
Have not had any issues. Only have two zones programmed. CSV files added. I purchased this radio for the spread sheet style CPS. It is fast and I have worked with spread sheets for many years and this seems to be a more orderly way of thinking when building the code plug. Looking forward to adding more features. And it does not have a "track ball".
A great addition to any Ham's SHACK or pocket...
No mods needed for the complete World Wide DMR Directory!!!
GPS checks okay. Great radio. I recommend it !
This D868UV is my first DMR radio and I have had it only a week. I had to do a lot of learning but after a few days the radio seems to operate intuitively. I have used the software with Contactmanager and Libreoffice Calc to import data from other radio's codeplugs. I find the 848's software to be user friendly as it will give some suggestions when I have put in an unallowed input and accepts data from CSVs that are not self consistent and makes a stab at a fix. This is way better than a cryptic error message most software gives. I find enabling scan to be harder that I think it should be. Maybe more learning is required.
Writing my new code plug....have all my analog freqs listed and one DMR repeater. All repeaters and simplex working well. Haven't yet worked with the GPS feature. After confirming GPS is working, I'll give it 5 stars.
Solid radio so far - with just a few more tweaks it will be a great radio. If Anytone can get promiscuous mode working and make it easy to switch TGs, this will be a fine radio. FPP capability is nice, but it only works in frequency display mode, not channel name display mode.
I am impressed with this radio. Range is just awesome, everything just works. Huge memory for DMR contacts list. Easy to update and program. Best audio on receive of any HT I have owned.
Buy it from Connect Systems!!! Their support is superb.
I've had this radio about a week now and am really enjoying it. The programming wasn't to bad. I'm still leaning how to build code plugs. This CPS appears to be easier to manipulate than the Tyt or Radioddity. There are some easy selections to allow importing data.
I've been using it for 5 days and am very happy with it.
I will most likely sell my 2017 and my 380 since I don't use them anymore. The speaker mic from the MD-380 works fine with the AT-D868UV.
My only wish is when there is a firmware or CPS update, they tell us what was updated.
I haven't found any other concerns at this point.
I love my Motorola DMR radios, but they’re all single-band, and if I also want to take 2m with me, I am required to take a second radio. No longer! Now, with this dual-band radio, I can have my UHF DMR and my 2m/440 analog FM, all in just one radio.
The AT-D686UV feels like a real radio in the hand, not like a cheap, poorly-built Chinese radio of the past. Audio quality is excellent, both on digital and analog. If a little extra power is needed, “Turbo” power can be switched on, which gives 8W on 2m and 7W on 440. The programming software leaves a lot to be desired, especially if you’ve used the Motorola CPS before, but it does work. But I’m not reviewing the software here. This radio is excellent overall. If you have Kenwood accessories, such as microphones and headsets, you can use them with this radio. The radio ships with a programming cable, a charger, an antenna, and a battery. If you’re like me, you like to convert your HTs to BNC - this radio is easily convertible with the Powerwerx reverse SMA female to BNC female adapter, and it looks nice on the radio.
For those Hams looking for a dual-band HT for DMR and analog, this is the one for you.
