This radio does not come with programming cables. Programming cables are available for $15 and is the exact same cable you would use for the CS800 or CS801.
The CS800D is slightly less sensitive in VHF than the CS801 radios. If you are in a weak-signal area for VHF, be aware that your reception may be affected.

This radio is easy to find a place for in a vehicle. The detachable face fit right in a dash cubby perfectly. It works great the, programming is stable and I am getting very good audio quality reports.

I have been waiting a long time to get a dual band DMR radio and COnnect Systems has done it. The only issue so far is the low level of receive volumne. I am hoping that this can be adjusted somehow. Nice to be able to talk on our club's analog link system and also our DMR link system using this radio. Nice job Jerry.

Started off with a popular handheld DMR radio, fell in love with DMR. Decided to go with the 800 in my car, haven't looked back. Great radio at a great price.

I own a 750, 800 and 800D--all purchased fm CS. The 800D is an excellent value for the price and the service from Chris goes without saying. The VHF/UHF DMR/Analog platform suits my needs in as mobile radio.

I have only used the CS800d for a short while, however, it has been a very easy radio to program and use. I have made initial tests on both analog and digital systems and the results have been great. I hope to get it installed in my vehicle before making any more trips.

When the CS-800D was first released I wanted to order one but due to 2 meter sensitivity issues I held off. In August they released the second batch of radios that fixed the sensitivity issue. So I ordered one and so far I must say it's working great with no issues.

I have used this "second release" CS-800D in a mobile setup for a week or so now. Radio seems to work fine with no scan issues yet. Audio levels need to be tweaked from defaults but otherwise OK. Too bad there is no time delayed power down setting.... maybe in a future update. Having both bands and modes, this radio may replace my other mobile installs. Also, it is a great companion to the CS-750... CPS is very similar making easy setup.

The CS800D was easy to install (I had a CS800D and it used all the same cables in the car) The one I received of the new batch has excellent sensitivity on both bands. I am very happy with this radio.

Been waiting to get my hands on the new 800D. Overall it is a great radio and it works very well. Like everyone else there is always something that you would like better on the radio. My biggest complaint would be a larger display and more info on it. I would definitely but another one. Nice size

Finally used a service monitor...radio passes normal specs for all except the CTCSS deviation is 750 Hz, I'd like to have it 500 Hz or less. Works well on both analog and DMR. Scan is working okay. Great radio !
