This is a new item to cool down the Xceiver to which it is attached. The unit works very well and I am pleased with the functionality. My only complaint is the paperwork with the unit in regard to the assembly and installation is basically not there. The paper supplied lacks any indication of how to use and install. Having used a similar unit of a fellow Ham, I knew how it was supposed to go. A novice might find it quite difficult to make all the connections.

This fan really works great and enhances and the functionality of the radio

This is my second cooling fan purchase- it bolts right up to my Connect Systems CG-108G plus. The unit I received has an additional metal plate over the fan and circuit board, thus I didn't have to install a cover grill like I did on my first one. The folding stand legs work the same as early production units. You also have the Anderson Powerpole socket on the side which I find helpful. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase.

Works as advertised and keep the G90 cool

The version I recv'd is an update to the picture on the CSI web page. The newer model has a cover over the bottom. Once assembled the unit works great. At first I was not sure if the temperature sensor was working as the fan speed seemed high for a radio that was off. However I tested it with a hair dryer and found that sure enough the fan speed increased with temperature. I have been using the unit with my G90 for a few weeks now and the radio stays cool all the time. The G90 fan assembly works GREAT! The only complaint I have is the instructions to not make it clear on the orientation of the buckle straps and the tiny screws used to attach them are very hard to screw in, as if the holes were tapped and then painted. I had to use some oil to help, else I'd have stripped the screws.

The cooling fan/stand mounts easily and works well, really keeps the radio cool. HOWEVER it really needs a bottom cover on it to protect the open/exposed circuit board and keep things from getting into the fan. It's like they made it and forgot to put a bottom on it.

Nice construction. A quiet fan is great and the built-in powerpoles make it easy to connect direct to the power supply. Easy to assemble and install, though the screws are a bit tiny for these ancient fingers.
