Great price, super easy to program. BUT the software doesn't seem to be quite up to speed. When I program my side buttons they don't always work, and when changing zones that seems a little flaky at times? Over all a good little H T PS: I didn't find the option to buy an extra battery?
This is a great HT. It does everything I want it to do plus more and the sale price made it a great deal.
For $90, this is an incredible value! The only one complaint I have with this radio is the same complaint I have with the TYT MD-9600 (which uses the same code plug); even on the lowest volume setting, it is still pretty loud. Otherwise, the radio has a nice heft to it, unlike other cheap Chinese radios, but not too heavy. Menu is straight forward, and reports on the other end are favorable. The code plug for my TYT MD-9600 installed right into this radio in seconds, so it was ready to use almost immediately out of the box. For the money, it is a fantastic little HT.
Programmed very easily. Great value. I should have bought an extra battery
I purchased this radio because of its low price, I wanted to find an inexpensive radio I could recommend it to new DMR users in my group. At first I had trouble utilizing its advertised 120,000 CSV contacts capability, but after a talk with Jerry at Connect Systems I realized I had the wrong firmware in the radio and with his help I reloaded the correct version of firmware. I was then able to upload the north American contacts CSV file from RadioID. I like the Radio it is well made and has a great receiver. The CPS is less developed than AnyTone, and the display is very TYT like. All and all its a great HT for the price and I would recommend it to anyone. I would also like to compliment Connect Systems on their customer service. 73's Bert
Great little radio for the money, only complaint is that the volume could be better with DMR. The analog is plenty loud but DMR isn’t.
Good quality feel to the radio, works well. Receive audio is loud and excellent clarity. Programming software is easy to use and fairly intuitive. Includes the RT3S, antenna, charger/docking station, and USB interface cable. Lots of online support available. Excellent value.
